Do you remember the mid 80’s Rolling Stone magazine commercials? If you were like me you called up and were told that you needed a credit card, so you asked your mom for one. I don’t know how this turned out at your house but my mom told me we didn’t have credit cards because “the banks don’t give people like us credit cards.” Instead of getting a fancy new Rolling Stone delivered to my house I had to go behind the newsstand to take the old unsold copies from the dumpster. The covers would be torn off before they were thrown out so it was like a corporate rock and roll mystery every time I managed to find a copy.
