Looking at the chart is a lot of fun for me since I turned 14 a few weeks later. Odd seeing The Replacements on the chart knowing that in a short while they would become so important to me. Also, seeing Warrant’s “Down Boys” on the list reminds me that it was the first song I sang while drunk, right about the time it was climbing the charts in the spring of 89. I was drunk because the keg was paid for and my family didn’t want it to go to waste. That was how we did things.
