Plagiarism Sucks.
slackmistress: I don’t care where it is, taking someone else’s writing and passing it off as yours is shitty. At least there’s truth in advertising.

A Drinking Story: What It's Like Now  →
drinkingstory: My father made a choice to lead a hard drinking life, perhaps because he was afraid to fail at trying to find a better way. Living with the feeling that you have no choice has got to be awful and dying with the feeling that you never had a chance is probably worse. I had to read the passage above several times before I fully realized what it meant.

Urbaniak: Spin City →
jamesurbaniak: In his public war with his (likely former) employer, Charlie Sheen keeps pointing out that “Two and a Half Men” creator Chuck Lorre’s real name is Chaim Levine. (Which, according to Chuck Lorre, is true.) Now how does Charlie Sheen think that pointing this out supports his argument that… Few people can cut to the ugly truth the way James Urbaniak can. He is right, this is...

The Best Show Loves Daily Urban Legend! →
dailyurbanlegend: Last night, The Best Show on WFMU host Tom Scharpling did an incredible interview with comedy icon Chris Elliott. I called in towards the end of the show and Tom had some exceedingly kind words to say about Daily Urban Legend. The whole show is a gigantic W and you should definitely give a listen if you haven’t already. Hearing talk of Daily Urban Legend on The Best Show is...

“Missing Person...27yr old Kyle Joseph Downes,... →
slackmistress: Kyle Downes was Larry Tudgeman - the nerd -  on Lizzie McGuire. A really, really nice kid and a super talented actor. We used to joke that he could play a young Mr. Bean as he looked exactly like him. Kyle elevated Larry Tudgeman beyond the butt of the joke. He could find the heart in every scene. I ran into Kyle a few years ago at Gallery 1988. He looked, well, just like he...

Jen Kirkman - comedian: "It's Who You Know"  →
jenkirkman: Maybe this will be helpful - maybe it won’t. Maybe it will just resonate with people who have received emails like this. I hope I don’t come off sounding like a jerk - I can’t control how you take this, but I’ll try to be compassionate in this blog. I know that show business is hard to break in… This is good advice no matter what business you are in or trying to break into.

Yay February
This first appeared many years ago on my old blog but it still holds true. February may be my favorite month of the year, you know why? Presidents Day, that’s why. My family has always been big on celebrating the lesser holidays and after Bastille Day, Presidents Day was my favorite holiday as a kid. It started in kind of a weird way, the year that my brother made a big deal about...

Why I'm Skipping The Super Bowl
I’m still sad that the Jets came so close and fell short again. Ben Roethlisberger is at best a creep and at possibly much worse Watching could be misinterpreted as acceptance of the Black Eyed Peas
